How to Verify IT Return through NetBanking: The deadline for filing ITR for the assessment year 2022-23 is over. Now after filling the ITR, it is also necessary to get it verified (ITR-V). Without verification, the return is considered incomplete and the return is canceled. This is the reason why its verification is considered more important than filing the return.

 

How to Verify IT Return through NetBanking

After filing ITR through online mode, it is very important to do ITR E-Verification. Let us tell you that in order to e-verify Income Tax Return through NetBanking, a person needs to be registered on Net Banking. Today we will tell you the complete steps of ITR verification through NetBanking.

Step 1: First of all login to the Income Tax Department website using your PAN card details.

Step 2: Go to e-file and generate EVC. EVC will be sent to your registered mail id and mobile number.

Step 3: If you have generated the EVC, then enter the EVC in the box provided by clicking “I already have EVC to e-verify my return” and click on submit.

Step 4: Go to the website of your bank in which you have your account and from where you transact.

Step 5: Now login to your bank’s website through net banking and click on the option of e-filing.

Step 6: Now proceed by clicking on the option of EVC through net banking.

Step 7: Click on the option of e-Verify, opposite to the Income Tax Return, which has been uploaded.

Step 8: Login to e-feeling through net banking and continue by clicking on the confirmation page.

Step 9: On completion of the ITR verification process, you will see a success message. Now no further process is required.

Step 10: Now download and save this given attachment for future needs.

 

The IT department has reduced the e-verification deadline!

The Income Tax Department has reduced the deadline for submission of e-verification or hard copy of ITR-V from 120 days to 30 days after the filing of income tax returns. This arrangement has come into effect from August 1.

These rules have been applied to taxpayers who file their income tax returns on or after August 1. According to the new notification of CBDT, now the date of filing the return electronically will be deemed to be the same if Form ITR-V is submitted within 30 days from the date of transmission of data electronically.
