Bharat Biotech has decided to reduce the cost of Covaxin from Rs 1,200 to Rs 225 per dose for private hospitals.
The Health Ministry said that the same vaccine will be used in the booster dose, which was used for the vaccination of the first and second doses.
From April 10, a booster dose will be available to all adults who are above 18 years of age and have completed nine months after the second dose.
