ITR Verification using ATM:
Today we will tell you the complete steps of ITR verification through ATM.
First of all, go to the nearest ATM and swipe your ATM card at the bank's ATM. Click on 'PIN for Income Tax Filing'.
Now an Electronic Verification Code (EVC) will be sent to your registered mobile number.
Now login to the Income Tax Department website (www.incometax.gov.in) and click on the e-verify return option.
Now in the verification method, click on the option 'Already generated EVC through bank ATM'.
Now enter the EVC code sent to your mobile in the given box and click on Continue. Your ITR will be verified.
Let us tell you that only customers of 7 banks can take advantage of this facility, whose list is given in the next slide.
These banks are Axis Bank, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and State Bank of India.
After filing the income tax return, it is mandatory to verify it. Otherwise, the return is considered incomplete.
If the taxpayer forgets to verify the ITR, the ITR filing process will not be completed and you may get a notice for the same.
