Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman disclosed LIC's debt on Adani Group.
After the report of Hindenburg Research, the discussion on LIC's loan and investment in Adani Group continues.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday informed about the debt of LIC on Adani Group.
Nirmala Sitharaman said that during the last three months, there has been a decline in LIC loans given to Adani Group companies.
In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, the Finance Minister informed about the debt exposure of LIC in Adani Group companies.
LIC's debt exposure as on December 31, 2022, was Rs 6,347 crore, which has come down to Rs 6,183 crore as on March 5.
LIC exposure in Adani Group: 1- Adani Ports: Rs 5,388.60 crore 2- Adani Power Mundra: Rs 266 crore
3- Adani Power Maharashtra Limited Phase-1: Rs 81.60 crore 4- Adani Power Maharashtra Limited Phase-3: Rs 254.87 crore
5- Rs 145.67 crore with Raipur Energen Limited 6- Raigarh Energy Generation Limited: Rs 45 crore
After the Hindenburg Research report, LIC's investment value went negative due to a fall in Adani Group's shares.
Once again the shares of Adani Group have gone up, due to which the investment value of LIC has once again gone up.
