Eligible borrowers are able to get an entire or partial Relief of loans as high as $20,000.
This Loan Relief is offered through the U.S. Department of Education (ED) as part of the Biden-Harris Administration.
You Can Get up to $20,000 in debt relief when you were awarded a Federal Pell Grant in college and meet the requirements for income.
You Can Get up to $10,000 in debt relief if you did not receive a Federal Pell Grant in college and you meet the income requirements.
This debt relief program applies only to the balances of loans that you held prior to June 30, 2022.
If you qualify, you could get debt relief if are a holder of Federal loans that are eligible and you meet the following requirements for income:
1- Did not file taxes: Made less than the required income to file federal taxes 2- Single: Under $125,000
3- Married, filed your taxes separately: Under $125,000 4- Married, filed your taxes jointly: Under $250,000
5- Head of household: Under $250,000 6- Qualifying widow(er): Under $250,000
Any new loans made on or after the 1st of July, 2022 won't be eligible for this one-time Federal Student Loan Relief.
