Fifa bans Indian football federation:

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has banned the All India Football Federation.

Now the Indian national football team or its players will not be able to play in any international football competition.

With the ban on AIFF, India will no longer be able to host the Women's Under-17 Football World Cup to be held in October this year.

FIFA finally took this tough decision on Monday night, citing interference by third parties in the AIFF.

FIFA said this suspension would be lifted only after the AIFF announces its executive committee.

The Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) has started the election process for AIFF.

The elections for the All India Football Federation are to be held on August 28. After that, an executive committee will be formed.

Let us tell you that the root of all this controversy is former AIFF President and Minister in Congress's government Praful Patel.

Praful Patel, the Civil Aviation Minister in the Congress government, was made the President of AIFF in 2009.

In 2022, the Supreme Court removed Praful Patel from the post of President of the All India Football Federation.

According to the Sports Code of India, no person can become the President more than 3 times.

AIFF elections are to be held on August 28 and Praful Patel with state football associations is obstructing the polls.

Let us tell you that this time India was to host the FIFA Women's Under-17 World Cup from October 11 to 30.

FIFA said that it is in constant touch with India's sports ministry and hopes to reach a positive outcome.
