FDI of India FY2021-22:

The country has received the highest Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the financial year 2021-22.

According to the Ministry of Commerce, the country has received a total FDI of more than Rs 6,31,050 crore.

In the financial year 2021-22, the largest foreign investment has been received by the manufacturing sector.

FDI of Rs 1,58,332 crore was received in the manufacturing sector, which was Rs 89,766 crore in the previous financial year.

Among the most foreign investing countries in India, Singapore topped the list with a 27 percent share.

The United States of America came second with an 18 percent share among the most foreign investing countries in India.

The maximum FDI was received by the computer software and hardware sector. The service sector stood second and automobile third.

The approval of 100% FDI in many sectors including insurance has helped in increasing FDI in the country.

The manufacturing sector of the country has received almost double foreign investment this time than last time.

The government said that due to the reforms made in the FDI sector, record foreign investment has been received.
