Let us tell you that on the basis of AICPI-IW data, allowance is given to the employees by calculating inflation.

The dearness allowance figures were reviewed in the cabinet meeting of the Modi government held on Wednesday.

According to media reports, the Union Cabinet has decided to increase the Dearness Allowance to 42%.

This time dearness allowance has been increased by 4%. Earlier dearness allowance was being given at the rate of 38%.

With the increase of 4%, DA will be considered applicable from January 2023. Employees will get arrears of 2 months.

Central employees will also get arrears for January and February. This increase in DA will be on the basic salary.

The hike in DA has not been formally announced. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself can announce this before Holi.
