The Finance Ministry said that UPI is a matter of public digital interest. It has given good facilities to the general public.

The Finance Ministry said that there is no discussion in the government regarding the levy of charges on UPI services.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the government had given financial assistance last year for the digital payment ecosystem.

To increase the use of digital payments, the government will also provide financial assistance to UPI services this year.

A few days ago, the Reserve Bank of India sought feedback from people regarding UPI payments and charges.

Due to this confusion arose among the people that the government is going to charge fees on UPI as well.

So let us tell you that UPI transactions will still remain as free as before. The government will not charge any fee for this.
