Cervical Cancer Vaccine:

With the launch of the Cervical Cancer Vaccine, another achievement has been registered in the name of India today.

It has been developed by the Serum Institute of India (SII) and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT).

It is India's first indigenously developed quadrivalent Human Papillomavirus Vaccine (HPV) against cervical cancer.

The much-awaited vaccine was launched by Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology on Thursday.

NTAGI's Kovid Working Group Chairperson Dr. N. Of. Arora said that "Launching the Made-in-India Vaccine is an exciting experience.

He said that it is heartening to think that our daughters will now be able to get this much-awaited vaccine.

It will be a proud moment for all of us Indians. With the launch of this vaccine, now it will be readily available in India as well.

The government will soon run a national immunization program for girls 9-14 years old. This will be very effective.

This vaccine prevents cervical cancer. In 90 percent of cases, cervical cancer progressed due to a lack of vaccine.

Giving this vaccine to young children and daughters will probably be that they will not get cervical cancer after 30 years.

No official information has been received yet about the Price of a cervical cancer vaccine in India.
